In 1855-1858 the construction of Aveirense Theater began, project of Araújo e Silva. The building would only be completed in 1878-1881, having been inaugurated by the Theater Company Dona Maria II. Already at the beginning of the 20th century new chairs were acquired in sheep and iron for the audience. In 1912 began the sessions of animatograph. Later, in 1947-1949, the space was rebuilt and inaugurated, having been designed by Ernesto Korrodi and Engineer von Haff. True ex-libbris of the city of Aveiro, this room was the stage of a wide range of spectacles.
