Next to the famous gardens of Quinta do Palheiro, which date back to the beginning of the last century and are known for the exotic diversity of its flora, Palheiro's course offers fabulous views over the Bay of Funchal, the sea and the distant Desertas Islands. The field was designed by architect Cabell Robinson, a former assistant to Robert Trent Jones. It also has a beautiful "club-house" where golfers can rest and enjoy the view with an unforgettable view over the city.
