Located in the historic center of the city of Miranda do Douro, in a 17th century building, this museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving and exposing the cultural-ethnographic and artistic elements of this region. It was founded in 1982 in a building dating from the seventeenth century that has served as chamber and municipal chain.
